Laura McGillicuddy serves as Treasurer for Speak for Animals, bringing years of professional financial leadership combined with a deep love for animals and commitment to animal welfare. Her parents instilled a deep respect and love for animals when she was a child with dogs, cats and horses from the beginning. She has participated in TNR efforts for over 300 cats in the past 8 years and participates in a local pop-up TNR group in Greenville to continue helping cats in the Upstate.

As a CPA, with a strong background in financial oversight, budgeting, and governance, Laura helps ensure Speak for Animals maintains sound fiscal practices that support its mission and long-term sustainability. She is passionate about actionable reporting, transparency, responsible stewardship of donor funds, and using strong financial management to maximize impact for animals in need.

When she is not working or travelling, she is either riding her horse Bibi, walking her two recent rescue dogs, Monte and Caesar, or snuggling with her three cats, Recon, Domino, and Buster Jr.
